Seventh Annual Conference on Money and Finance in

The Indian Economy

The Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) will be hosting its Seventh Annual conference on Money and Finance in the Indian Economy during the 10^th and 11^th of February 2005. Conference will consist of a few invited lectures and contributed papers. Submissions are invited for the contributed papers. Although papers on all aspects of monetary economics, banking and finance area are solicited, we would particularly welcome contributions on the following topics:

1. Role of Financial Intermediaries in Private Capital Formation

2. Transmission Channels of Monetary Policy

3. Capital Account Mobilization: Implications for Monetary Policy

4. Econometric Modeling of High Frequency Data

Guidelines for paper submission

1. Complete, Unpublished papers should be sent only by email in either Microsoft Word 2000 format (preferable) or Adobe PDF format.

2. Papers should be sent to the following email addresses (Please send to both email addresses)

3. All the papers should reach us on or before 1January 2005, at the above email addresses. The papers will be reviewed and the authors will be informed of acceptance decision by 15 – 20 January 2005.

4. A few selected papers submitted at conference will be reviewed for publication in Journal of Quantitative Economics.

Authors of accepted papers may also be requested to act as discussants for other papers.  Some travel subsidy for authors of accepted papers will be provided (within India).
